What a wonderful start to the month of May!  Two of my grandchildren made their First Holy Communions.  Michael made his on May3, 2025 at St. Mary’s Bryantown Church in Hughesville, Maryland and Ariana made hers on May 11, Mother’s Day, at St. Bernadette’s Church in Springfield, Virginia.  While I wasn’t able to attend’s Michael’s because my son, Stephen, was being married that day, his dad, James accompanied him for his special event.  I was able to attend Ariana’s communion, and it was a very beautiful ceremony.  I am so proud of both of my grandchildren for receiving their second sacrament in the church.

Most of the family were able to come for a party to celebrate with them on Saturday, May 17th.  My son Tom and his wife Marissa treated everyone to a delicious dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant in La Plata, Bollywood.  Then we returned to my home for cake and ice cream.  All the cousins had fun playing together and Marissa’s parents were also able to join us.  We had a great time talking and enjoying each other’s company.  It was a very memorable night.  I feel so blessed with all my adult children, their spouses and grandchildren!
