3 sticks of butter, softened
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 TBS. vanilla
2 large eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups flour
24 oz. (4 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs on medium speed. Stir in baking soda and salt, then add flour. Stir until thick. Stir in chocolate chips.
On ungreased cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, drop by rounded tablespoons. Bake 11 – 13 minutes until light brown. Change cookie sheets from top to bottom and front to back around 6 minutes. Cool 1-2 minutes, removed to cooling racks.
